*NBA star Jimmy Butler is facing a lawsuit from Five Star Marketing and Promotions Inc.
The company claims that Butler rented a home in Miami during his time with the Heat and owes over $250,000 in unpaid rent while leaving the property with significant damage. He also allegedly changed the locks, and prevented the property owner and maintenance workers from accessing the home, AOL.com reports.
Additionally, the lawsuit cites property damage including mold on the ceilings and floors due to Butler neglecting to maintain the air conditioning unit. The property is valued at approximately $10 million. Butler has yet to comment on the legal matter.
In related news, Butler, recently traded from the Miami Heat to the Warriors, launched his coffee brand, BIGFACE, in Miami’s Design District. He first came up with the idea for the company during the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the NBA’s 2020 season in the Orlando bubble, Butler launched BIGFACE, selling $20 cups of espresso from his hotel room. In December, he opened the first physical location of his coffee brand in Miami.
“Being in the bubble, all you had was hoop, hoop, and more hoop,” Butler, who spent six seasons with the Heat, told NBC News. “[Bigface] was just an experiment at the time. It was some coffee with a bunch of sugar in it. We get out the bubble, and I’m like, ‘Man, I miss those days sitting around, making coffee, and having conversations. Why can’t I do that every day?’”
Butler celebrated his coffee brand with a launch party attended by stars like Carmelo Anthony, DJ Khaled, and Paul Pogba.
