*Jimalita Tillman, a Chicago woman who recently went viral after a video of her playful interaction with Usher at his London concert, has reacted to rumors that her husband filed for divorce following the encounter.
The TikTok clip shows Tillman sharing a flirtatious moment with the singer as he dangled cherries over her mouth, sparking plenty of buzz. Rumors swirled that the sultry encounter caused her husband to file for divorce, but Tillman has clarified that she’s not married, Complex reports.
In an interview with WGN9 in Chicago, she described the spontaneous moment as pure fun, saying, “When he came around with those cherries, I said, ‘Well, life is a bowl of cherries, I’ll take one, maybe two.'”
Fans online dubbed her “Aunty Cherry,” a nickname the retired homeschool mom happily embraced. Tillman attributed the moment to Usher’s magnetic charm, noting, “He smells like vacation,” and explaining how a fellow concertgoer encouraged him to engage with her.
“One of the young ladies was telling him I’m a retired homeschool mom and that this should be her moment,” Tillman shared. “So he brought me closer and I locked in. I brought out all the Broadway magic that I had, but it was easy! He has a magnetic personality.”

“I’m really excited about this opportunity because now Harold Washington is getting a lot of play,” Tillman added.
As for the viral divorce gossip? “That is completely false. I am single. You got a cherry, give me a jingle,” she joked.
Tillman was actually in London on business, scouting venues for an upcoming theater festival that the center is producing. Her Instagram recap captured the overseas adventure.
