*Jesse Williams is seeking urgent changes to his custody agreement following what he describes as repeated disruptions by his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, in their children’s medical care.
According to newly filed court documents, the actor, best known for “Grey’s Anatomy,” has requested permission to seek healthcare treatment for his children without informing Drake-Lee beforehand, E! News reports. He’s also asking that she be barred from contacting or interfering with medical professionals.
The filing stems from an incident on April 3, 2025, when the former couple met with their daughter Sadie’s orthodontist to discuss treatment for an impacted tooth and a growing cyst. Williams alleges that during the appointment, Drake-Lee threatened to sue the doctor, refused to consent to treatment, and became so aggressive that the family was asked to leave.
Williams says this outburst not only delayed urgent care but also embarrassed and confused their children. “What is wrong with Mom? Did we get kicked out? Why does she keep doing this?” he recalls them asking afterward.
Though Williams was granted sole legal custody over medical, dental, and orthodontic decisions following a March 20 hearing, the current order requires him to inform Drake-Lee of appointments in advance and allows her the right to attend. He now contends that the arrangement is unworkable.

“Aryn has not only compromised our children’s health and specific treatment,” Williams stated in the filing, “her behavior destroys relationships with healthcare providers who are now terrified to treat our children.”
The actor also accuses Drake-Lee of showing up uninvited to appointments and creating fear among doctors. He’s asking the court to modify the order ahead of the next hearing on July 10.
