*Rap-A-Lot Records founder James “J. Prince” Prince is selling his opulent French chateau-inspired mansion in Heath, Texas, located roughly 25 miles from Dallas. The 12,000-square-foot estate, complete with a two-lane bowling alley and 12-seat cinema, carries a $4.4 million price tag, the Houston Chronicle reports.
The property showcases dramatic Corinthian columns and sits on 5.46 acres in an exclusive Rockwall County enclave. Phil Owens and Heather Stevens of The Agency Frisco are handling the sale. Owens told Chron, “This is by far the most unique one I’ve ever handled. The architecture, the scale, the land—it’s unlike anything else in North Texas.”
Prince, 60, built his reputation as CEO of Houston-based Rap-A-Lot Records, the groundbreaking label that propelled Southern hip-hop into the mainstream. His roster included the Geto Boys, Do or Die, and UGK, while he mentored Drake early in the rapper’s career. He also managed boxing champions Andre Ward and Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

Property records show Prince acquired the residence in 2019. The estate has been listed intermittently since January 2023, with asking prices fluctuating between $4.3 million and $4.7 million. The six-bedroom mansion features a primary suite and first-floor in-law quarters with pool access.
Visitors enter through a grand motor court into a marble foyer with a sweeping staircase. The interior includes a great room with vaulted ceilings, a chef’s kitchen with black cabinetry, and a library opening to a private balcony. Entertainment amenities include a billiards room, wine storage, safe room, and elevator. A standalone 3,700-square-foot guest house offers additional living space. Outdoor features include a resort-style pool and spa, fire pit, and walking trails.
Speaking through a family representative, Prince said, “I love the space to roam. The peace and more importantly the privacy it provides is my favorite thing about the property.”
