*Marvel fans can now get their first glimpse at “Ironheart,” the latest series from Marvel Television set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ on June 24. The newly released teaser trailer and poster offer an electrifying introduction to the next chapter in the MCU, as Dominique Thorne returns to the role of Riri Williams, the tech prodigy first introduced in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”
In this highly anticipated series, Riri heads back to her roots in Chicago, ready to carve out her legacy as a young inventor whose Iron Man-inspired suits rival anything Tony Stark ever built. But this time, the battle goes beyond metal and code. “Ironheart” explores the collision of science and sorcery, with Anthony Ramos stepping into the role of Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood, a complex antagonist wielding mystical powers.
“Ironheart is such a great character in publishing,” said director and producer Ryan Coogler. “In 2016, Brian Michael Bendis created a character who would be a successor of sorts to the Iron Man legacy. Riri was a student at MIT with a very different background from Tony, but they shared the same drive to make the world better. Eventually, she took on her own name, her own path, and that’s what we’re exploring here.”
Joining Thorne in the cast are Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White. The series is helmed by head writer Chinaka Hodge, with direction from Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes. Executive producers include Marvel veterans Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, and Zoie Nagelhout, alongside Chinaka Hodge and the Proximity Media team: Ryan Coogler, Sev Ohanian, and Zinzi Coogler. Dara Taylor provides the series’ original score.

Thorne shared in a previous interview that she had always been a Marvel fan and was already familiar with Ironheart before being cast. “Absolutely. I think my mother might disown me if I didn’t. It’s very much a Marvel household. I did know about Ironheart before I was approached with the role. So it was an awe-inspiring moment to think that I would be chosen to portray this woman and to bring her to the screen in this way.”
With its blend of heart, heritage, and high-tech heroics, Ironheart is shaping up to be one of Marvel’s most compelling new stories. Mark your calendars, Riri Williams’ story begins this summer, only on Disney+.
