*Hip-hop icon and cultural powerhouse Ice Cube is making his long-awaited return to the stage with his first solo headlining tour in more than ten years. The Truth to Power: 4 Decades of Attitude tour is set to honor his monumental impact on music, film, and culture, marking four decades of defiant lyrics, raw storytelling, and unshakable influence.
Produced by Live Nation, the 22-date arena tour kicks off on September 4 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and will hit major markets including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, and Toronto. The tour promises Cube’s biggest production yet–a high-energy celebration of a legacy that helped shape hip-hop’s golden age and continues to inspire new generations.
“Truth to Power is more than a tour, it’s a 40-year celebration,” Cube said in a statement. “The world needs truth. The people need power. And that’s what my music brings.”
Tickets go on sale Friday, April 18 at 10 a.m. local time via icecube.com, with a fan club presale beginning Wednesday, April 16. VIP packages will also be available, including meet-and-greets, signed vinyl, premium seats, and exclusive merchandise.
The tour announcement comes on the heels of a major personal milestone for the Los Angeles native. On April 15, Ice Cube was cemented (literally) into Hollywood history during a hand and footprint ceremony at the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre, KTLA reports. Surrounded by family, friends, and longtime collaborators, the event was a powerful moment of reflection for the rapper-turned-entertainment mogul.
His son, actor O’Shea Jackson Jr., paid tribute during the ceremony: “As much as my father’s known for his iconic scowl, our family is filled with more laughter than most. He and my mother both have loved to laugh and passed that down to their children… We always make sure to end every conversation, no matter how long, with an ‘I love you.’”
Cube himself took the stage, beaming with gratitude. “I know a lot of people are on the Walk of Fame, but the true movie stars are in front of the (TCL) Chinese Theatre,” he said. “Thank you to everybody who showed up to hear a young dude from South Central Los Angeles get a chance to express how I’m appreciative, and I’m living the dream.”
In an interview with KTLA 5, he added: “This is bigger than a dream… this is like stuff that you’d think would never happen to you.”
The honor coincides with the continued success of Man Down, Cube’s most recent album, which cracked the Top 10 on multiple Billboard charts and has reignited his presence in the rap scene.
