*Hulu has officially released the trailer for its latest original film, “Summer of 69.” Jillian Bell directed the bold and heartfelt coming-of-age comedy, which will premiere on May 9.
Starring “Saturday Night Live’s” Chloe Fineman, the film follows the misadventures of an awkward high school senior who, in a desperate bid to win over her longtime crush before graduation, hires an exotic dancer. What begins as a misguided romantic ploy evolves into a surprising journey of friendship, self-discovery, and empowerment.
Joining Fineman in the ensemble cast are Sam Morelos (That ’90s Show), Matt Cornett (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series), Nicole Byer, Liza Koshy, Natalie Morales, Alex Moffat, Fernando Carsa, Paula Pell, and Charlie Day.
Bell, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Liz Nico and Jules Byrne, “Summer of 69″ blends raunchy comedy with genuine heart. The film is produced by Jeremy Garelick, Will Phelps, Molle DeBartolo, Jillian Bell, Breanna Bell-Singer, Matt Skiena, Adam Goodman, and Lucas Carter.

The trailer teases a nostalgic yet refreshingly modern take on teenage anxiety, sexual identity, and the messy path to adulthood, all set against the chaos of the last days of high school.
“Summer of 69” arrives this month exclusively on Hulu. Watch the trailer above.
