*During the December 16 episode of his radio program, Howard Stern became emotional while discussing his longtime cohost Robin Quivers’ ongoing cancer battle. The update came as Stern announced his renewed SiriusXM contract spanning three additional years, according to The Sun.
The new agreement features a modified schedule designed specifically to accommodate Quivers’ medical needs during her cancer treatment. Stern addressed his cohost directly during the broadcast, acknowledging her situation. “Let’s be honest, Robin, if I may speak for you, you needed a more flexible schedule,” he stated.
The radio host explained the demanding nature of Quivers’ health battle to his audience. “Robin’s also busy trying to save her own life with a battle of cancer, and it does require a tremendous amount of her time,” he said. “Like, when she’s not on the air, she’s busy literally fighting cancer.”

Stern emphasized he wouldn’t have accepted the contract extension without Quivers’ agreement to continue. Her cancer battle requires her to remain isolated, prioritize rest, and focus on physical recovery instead of the active lifestyle she typically enjoys.
It breaks my f**king heart,” he told listeners, according to the outlet.
Stern detailed Quivers’ strict health precautions, explaining her vigilance against potential health threats. “God forbid, anything gets into her body that could be a foreign agent,” he added. “So she has really lived a lifestyle of perfection, which is now, she’s healthy as f**k, but she’s still got to fight this g**damn thing, right?”
According to reports, Quivers was first diagnosed with endometrial cancer in 2012 and, following surgery and 15 months of treatment, remained cancer-free for three years before experiencing a recurrence in 2016. She has since been receiving immunotherapy infusions.
