*The Fifth Annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards, held on June 20 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, brought together luminaries to celebrate those shaping culture across music, film, media, and social spheres.
Hosted by Tiffany Haddish and founded by Jason Lee, the event recognized Don Lemon, Fantasia, Keke Palmer, Lemuel Plummer, Niecy Nash-Betts, Vic Mensa, and Warren G for their transformative contributions.
The evening was marked by heartfelt moments and powerful speeches. Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett presented Don Lemon with the Social Impact Award, praising him as a beacon of truth. “The part they don’t tell you sometimes is walking through the fire burns away the fear. So, look out, I’m an emancipated Black man,” Lemon declared, reflecting on his departure from CNN as a “blessing in disguise.”
Yolanda Adams honored Fantasia with the Inspiration Award, while Meagan Good presented Keke Palmer with the Spirit Award. Palmer, bringing both humor and depth, shared, “I think about those nights tossing and turning, wondering if I made the right choice, if I was dreaming too big. And then that quiet voice shows up and says, ‘just believe, keep going. What’s meant for you will be yours.’ Even when you don’t feel ready. Even when the path forward isn’t obvious. Even when the doubt creeps in. That’s the spirit I’ve leaned on time and time again.”
Niecy Nash-Betts, awarded the Fearlessness Award by Da Brat and Jesseca Harris-Dupart, was serenaded by her wife, Jessica Betts, before delivering a moving speech. “When you allow people to show up as their full self, you don’t just change lives, you save them. That is real impact,” she said. Vic Mensa, receiving the Community Award from Lena Waithe, urged celebrities to “unite, inspire, and empower” through their platforms.

The awards, set to air on The Zeus Network, celebrated a legacy of impact, joining past honorees like Cardi B and Whoopi Goldberg.
