*Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for “Heart of the Beast,” an upcoming survival thriller that places Brad Pitt in a desperate fight for survival deep in the Alaskan wilderness.
Directed by David Ayer, the film follows Special Forces officer James Belmont, played by Pitt, after a devastating plane crash leaves him stranded far from civilization. With few resources and no clear path to safety, Belmont must rely on his training, determination, and the companionship of his combat dog, Odin.
The trailer highlights the harsh conditions awaiting the pair as they navigate remote terrain and battle the unforgiving elements. At the center of the story is the bond between Belmont and Odin, whose loyalty becomes critical as their struggle for survival intensifies.

According to the film’s synopsis, the crash forces the man and his canine companion into a brutal test of endurance. As they confront the challenges of the wilderness, the story explores the connection between a soldier and the dog that stands beside him when everything else falls away.
Ayer directs from a screenplay written by Cameron Alexander. The project brings together a producing team that includes Olivia Hamilton, Marty Bowen, Ayer, and Pitt. The cast also features J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe.
“Heart of the Beast” arrives as the latest collaboration between Pitt and a team of filmmakers known for large-scale dramatic storytelling. The trailer offers the first look at the film’s mix of survival action, emotional stakes, and rugged outdoor adventure.
Paramount will release “Heart of the Beast” exclusively in theaters on Sept. 25, 2026. Watch the official trailer above.
