*Keanu Reeves, Seth Rogen, and Aziz Ansari headline the new comedy “Good Fortune,” which will stream exclusively on STARZ beginning February 14. The film follows a clumsy guardian angel whose well-meaning attempts to guide the lives of two strangers lead to unexpected and chaotic consequences.
Written and directed by Ansari, the film had its first public showing at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025 and was released in theaters nationwide on October 17. Reeves plays Gabriel, the “budget guardian angel” tasked with preventing small mishaps like texting while driving, while Ansari portrays Arj, a struggling gig worker, and Rogen appears as a wealthy venture capitalist whose life intersects with Gabriel’s mission.
The supporting cast includes Keke Palmer, Sandra Oh, Sherry Cola, and Stephen McKinley Henderson. Sandra Oh’s character, Martha, guides Gabriel with the advice, “To save a lost soul, you have to find a lost soul,” setting the tone for the film’s combination of humor, heart, and reflections on class and second chances.
The trailer emphasizes Gabriel’s comedic mishaps as he attempts to influence the lives of Arj and Rogen’s character, highlighting the film’s blend of lighthearted humor and emotional depth. Produced by Ansari, Anthony Katagas, and Alan Yang, with executive producers Aniz Adam Ansari, Jonathan McCoy, Christopher Woodrow, and Connor DiGregorio, “Good Fortune” brings a fresh perspective to the comedy genre while leveraging a high-profile ensemble cast and Lionsgate’s distribution.
With its STARZ streaming premiere scheduled for Valentine’s Day, “Good Fortune” offers audiences a mix of laughs, heart, and chaotic angelic interventions, promising a memorable addition to the year’s comedy lineup.
