“Basketball Wives” alum Gloria Govan and her ex-husband, Matt Barnes, have reached a settlement after she accused him of owing over $250,000 in unpaid support for their twin sons, Isaiah and Carter.
Court documents reveal that Gloria agreed to drop the case, and in return, Matt will pay her $275,000 to cover all outstanding payments, In Touch Weekly reports. The ex-NBA player agreed to pay $100,000 within five business days and the remaining $175,000 within 60 days, with a $25,000 penalty if payments are more than 10 days late. He also covered Govan’s $25,000 attorney fees.
“The foregoing sum of $275,000, when paid by [Matt] to [Gloria], shall satisfy and constitute a full and complete satisfaction of any and all child support arrearages through August 1, 2024, and takes into consideration any and all principal and interest, debits, credits, reimbursements, claims for uncovered medical expenses and related claims and defenses either party may have as to the other with respect to child support, through the stated time period,” the deal read, per InTouch Weekly.
In 2022, Barnes sued Govan over unpaid legal fees related to their divorce. At the time, the law firm Brot, Gross & Fishbein filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court, claiming they were owed $187,452.84 in unpaid fees.
Though their split in 2014 led to a contentious custody battle over their twin sons, Barnes stated previously that he and Govan are “on great terms.”

“Whether you can’t stand her or she can’t stand you — none of that s–t should matter once you realize that we still have kids and we’re gonna be here,” said Barnes on his podcast. “My s–t played out so public and nasty. I’m really happy to say now that me and my ex are on great terms and I’m cool with my former teammate that she’s married to.”
He added, “At the end of the day, we’re all raising these kids. She’s my assistant coach on the basketball team. After all the s–t we been through, she is coaching the twins with me, we’re coaching our kids together. I feel like, if we can do it, and our s–t was wild and the world has seen it, to me that should always be a goal.”
Gloria and Derek Fisher tied the knot in 2021 after delaying their wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fisher proposed in 2018 after dating for three years.
