*Former Bad Boy bodyguard Gene Deal says he is being pressured to testify in the murder trial of Duane “Keffe D” Davis, who is accused in the 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur.
Deal discussed the situation during a conversation with The Art of Dialogue, claiming authorities want him to establish a connection between Davis and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
“They want me to show that Keffe D and Diddy had a relationship,” Deal said, according to Complex. “They want me to establish what I know about Keffe D and Puff coercing with each other when they’re around each other. Gambling, laughing, drinking, popping bottles, the whole nine yards. That’s what they wanted me to do.”
Deal’s comments come as Davis’ murder case is being heard nearly three decades after Shakur was fatally shot in Las Vegas. Davis has pleaded not guilty and has maintained that he was not in Las Vegas when the shooting occurred.

Rather than presenting himself as a firsthand witness, Deal made clear that some of the information he has discussed about the night came through people he says were connected to the events. He previously identified several individuals he was told were in Las Vegas, while acknowledging that he could not personally verify every detail.
Deal also questioned what evidence prosecutors have to place Davis at the scene.
“The burden of proof is on the prosecution,” he said. “They got to prove that he was there.”
Davis is accused of helping orchestrate the shooting and providing the weapon used in the attack. Prosecutors have relied in part on statements Davis made over the years about his alleged role, while his defense has argued that his earlier accounts were fabricated.
Deal believes investigators want his testimony because they have long sought to establish an association between Davis and Combs.
The case has gained renewed attention as testimony unfolds in Las Vegas. Several people connected to the events of 1996 are now deceased, while others have been reluctant to cooperate with investigators.
