*FX has dropped the official trailer for Ryan Murphy’s “Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans,” starring Naomi Watts, Demi Moore, Calista Flockhart, Diane Lane, Chloë Sevigny, Molly Ringwald and Treat Williams in his final role.
The upcoming limited series is the second installment of the anthology series from Murphy, based on Laurence Leamer’s bestselling book “Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era.”
The series chronicles “In Cold Blood” author Truman Capote and his real-life betrayal of a group of socialites, whom he dubbed his “Swans,” by publishing a scathing short story about them called “La Côte Basque 1965” in Esquire in 1975.
The eight-episode series shows Copote “befriending them and becoming their confidante, only to ultimately betray them by writing a thinly veiled fictionalization of their lives, exposing their most intimate secrets,” according to a show synopsis.

As People reports, the “Swans” “cut him off and put a target on his back,” the outlet writes.
“Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans” premieres with two episodes on January 31 on FX, and the next day on Hulu. Watch the trailer via the YouTube clip above.
Ryan Murphy’s “Feud” anthology series debuted in 2017 with “Feud: Bette and Joan,” which is based on the real-life drama between Hollywood icons Bette Davis and Joan Crawford.
