*Today at the Apple TV 2026 Press Day, the stars of “Margo’s Got Money Troubles,” alongside prolific storyteller David E. Kelley, took the stage to unveil a teaser and shared a glimpse into the star-studded new series starring and executive produced by Oscar, Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee Elle Fanning (Margo), Golden Globe winner and Oscar and Emmy Award nominee Michelle Pfeiffer and Oscar and Emmy winner Nicole Kidman.
“I was just so taken with the novel and how her voice was written,” shared Fanning about what drew her to the role. “I felt so fresh. It’s something I’ve never seen on TV before. She’s full of spunk and vibrancy and optimism, but she doesn’t have the right answers all the time. She’s messy, she’s complicated, but she’s very clever and creative. It has that pulse, and you want to live in that world. Margo is so full of humor and dry wit, its really exciting. When I’m looking for characters, much like how life is. There’s a lot of sadness, there’s heartbreak, but there’s huge amounts of levity and comedy, and that’s something David has really infused into the scripts. It’s a beautiful balance, and it feels like
life. I love that she’s someone, throughout the series, you get to see she is more empowered, she’s finding this sense of dignity through her own terms. She takes the hardest route to get there, and it’s not the path she thought she was gonna take, but she’s doing it her way, her style. It’s a cool style, too.”
The eight-episode Apple Original series is a bold, heartwarming, and comedic family drama following recent college dropout and aspiring writer, Margo, the daughter of an ex-Hooters waitress (Pfeiffer) and ex-pro wrestler (Offerman), as she’s forced to make her way with a new baby, a mounting pile of bills and a dwindling amount of ways to pay them. The series also stars Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden, Oscar and Emmy Award-winner Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty and Lindsey Normington.
Based on the bestselling novel of the same name, the series premieres globally on April 15, 2026 with three episodes, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through May 20, 2026 on Apple TV.
