*Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly lost a lot of weight while behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
“He appeared just astonishingly thinner, which you can expect [from him being] inside a federal detention center for a couple of months now,” Law & Crime reporter Elizabeth Millner said after the Bad Boy Records founder returned to court in Manhattan on Wednesday (Dec. 18), Page Six reports.
“A lot different from the luxury lifestyle that he was living before, but he appeared very noticeably thinner and maybe being locked up in detention is starting to wear on him,” the journalist added.
Millner also noted that the music mogul “appeared grayer a little bit.”
Cameras were not allowed inside the courtroom but a source close to Combs told Page Six that he is “fit, healthy and fully focused on his defense.”
Diddy is facing numerous abuse accusations from multiple women (and men), with court documents alleging that he roughed up the victims at his drug-fueled “freak off” parties in the early 2000s. The father of seven could be sentenced to life in prison if he is convicted on federal charges, including racketeering, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals for prostitution.
Since his arrest in September, Puffy has been held at MDC jail and denied bail multiple times due to being considered a flight risk and concerns of witness tampering. According to reports, he was placed on suicide watch during his first week in custody but was removed from it shortly thereafter. P. Diddy will return to court on March 17.
Meanwhile, The Blast reports that the rapper has withdrawn his bail appeal, effectively ending efforts to secure release ahead of his trial next year.
“He has been very active, remains in good spirits, and, as always, he was happy to see his children,” the Diddy insider told Page Six.
Last week, Judge Arun Subramanian permitted Combs to use a jail-provided laptop exclusively for reviewing discovery materials in preparation for his sex crimes trial that begins in May 2025, PEOPLE reports.
