*In his latest Netflix stand-up release, “The Unstoppable,” Dave Chappelle revisits a past interaction with Sean “Diddy” Combs that now carries a far different context.
As Complex reports, Chappelle described visiting Combs’ Los Angeles residence years ago, explaining that nothing appeared unusual at the time. “I’ve been to Puffy’s house,” Chappelle said. “No, I didn’t see none of the stuff they said in that trial. I walked to that n****’s living room. House is clean, traction on the floor, nothing slippery. You walk right through. Perfectly normal evening.”
Chappelle then recalled a conversation on Combs’ patio that later struck him in a different way. He recounted Combs casually asking about his interests, a moment Chappelle now frames as awkward in retrospect. “Puff started swirling his drink like this and he goes, ‘So Dave, what are you into?’” Chappelle recalled. “You know me, I was like, ‘I don’t know, n***a. Books, video games.’ I didn’t know that was my big chance to f*ck Cassie.”
Chappelle also addressed the resurfaced hotel surveillance footage showing Combs assaulting Cassie, emphasizing that he was not making light of the incident.

Combs, 56, was convicted in October on two counts of transportation for prostitution and received a 50-month prison sentence. He was transferred from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn to Fort Dix and is scheduled for release in 2028.
Netflix’s four-part documentary “Sean Combs: The Reckoning” examines the life, career, and controversies surrounding the once-celebrated music mogul. The series is executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and directed by Emmy Award–winning filmmaker Alexandria Stapleton. It explores how Combs built his influence through Bad Boy Entertainment, helping launch artists including The Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, Jodeci, and Danity Kane. Allegations of Diddy’s darker ambitions, shared by former associates and artists, were publicly exposed in Cassie’s lawsuit.
“Cassie is a gangster,” Chappelle said on stage. “She did something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. She had to testify about her sex life. That’s tough.”
