*Rapper D4vd (real name: David Anthony Burke) transferred ownership of two homes in the Houston area to his mother on September 18 and September 22. These properties had been held in a trust under D4vd’s name and were linked to a swatting incident on one of those dates.
TMZ, citing legal documents, reported that D4vd’s mother informed police that only she, her husband, her other son, and her daughter were present in the home during the incident.
The 20-year-old musician is currently under criminal scrutiny after the dismembered body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found in a Tesla registered to him. The vehicle was discovered on September 8, 2025, in a Hollywood impound yard, with the body in an advanced state of decomposition. Authorities estimate the teen had been deceased for several weeks.
Rivas was reported missing in April 2024 from Lake Elsinore, California, roughly 76 miles from the impound yard. Sources in law enforcement told ABC News that the Tesla had been parked near a Hollywood Hills residence where D4vd had been staying ahead of his now-canceled Withered World Tour. According to the New York Post, D4vd’s label, Universal Music Group, suspended all promotion for his upcoming album “Withered” pending the outcome of the investigation. So far, no charges have been filed.
In a press release, the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division noted: “The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause or manner of Ms. Rivas Hernandez’s death.”
Celeste’s body was released to her family on September 23, and a memorial service took place on October 6 at Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Mortuary in Rowland Heights, California, according to TMZ.
