*Rep. Jasmine Crockett is signaling a willingness to work with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene despite their highly publicized feud. Her outreach came shortly after Greene revealed she will exit Congress next year, citing an increase in threats tied to her clash with President Donald Trump.
Crockett wrote on Nov. 21 that her office reached out to Greene about drafting security measures for lawmakers. She posted on X, “My office reached out to MTG’s to work on some member safety legislation. I’m serious about working collaboratively on this effort if there is an interest. We can get it drafted before January.” She added that she was taken aback by Greene’s announcement and noted, “the threats that come with being on the opposite side of Trump ARE REAL!”
The sudden shift in tone comes more than a year after a tense House committee confrontation between the two lawmakers. Their exchange erupted when Greene told Crockett, “I don’t think you know what you’re here for. I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading.”

Crockett responded by questioning the boundaries of acceptable remarks in congressional proceedings. She asked, “I’m just curious … If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody’s bleach blonde bad built butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?” The phrase spread widely online, and Crockett filed a trademark for “BLEACH BLONDE BAD BUILT BUTCH BODY.”
Greene’s departure became public through a four-page letter released Friday, amid a growing rift with Trump and marking a break with the Republican Party. Her announcement detailed her frustrations, including disputes over releasing government documents connected to Jeffrey Epstein. Greene wrote that her last day in office will be January 5, 2026, ending her tenure representing Georgia’s 14th district since 2020. She previously held a prominent place in the Make America Great Again movement before her recent clashes with party leadership.
Greene’s letter elaborated on her reasons for stepping down, stating, “My only goal and desire has ever been to hold the Republican Party accountable for the promises it makes to the American people and put America First, and I have fought against Democrat’s damaging policies like the Green New Deal, wide open deadly unsafe border policies, and the trans agenda on children and against women.” She also wrote, “With that has brought years of nonstop never ending personal attacks, death threats, lawfare, ridiculous slander and lies about me, that most people could never withstand even for a day.”
Her message continued by expressing concern for her district and family. She stated, “It has been unfair and wrong, not only to me and especially my family, but to my district as well.” Greene wrote that she refuses “to be a ‘battered wife’ hoping it all goes away and gets better,” and criticized the factions she believes are replacing MAGA voices.
She concluded, “If I am cast aside by MAGA Inc and replaced by Neocons, Big Pharma, Big Tech, Military Industrial War Complex, foreign leaders, and the elite donor class that can’t even relate to real Americans, then many common Americans have been cast aside and replaced as well.”
Trump reacted sharply to the news, calling her resignation “great news for the country” in an interview with ABC News.
