*The 31st annual Critics’ Choice Awards will air live on Sunday, January 4, 2026, broadcasting simultaneously on both coasts.
The ceremony will be hosted by Chelsea Handler and held once again at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. The show will air from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. ET and 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. PT on E! and USA Network.
The annual event will continue its combined format, honoring achievements across film, television, and streaming. Along with the awards ceremony, viewers can expect extensive red-carpet coverage and post-show analysis across E!’s digital and broadcast platforms.
Coverage includes pre-show arrivals, backstage access, and fashion-focused recaps throughout the evening.

In film categories, Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners,” starring Michael B. Jordan, leads all nominees with 17 nominations.
The film is recognized in major categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress for Wunmi Mosaku, and Best Young Actor/Actress for Miles Caton.
Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” follows closely with 14 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and acting nods for Leonardo DiCaprio and Teyana Taylor.
Both films will compete head-to-head in several technical and ensemble categories, including Best Casting, Ensemble, Cinematography, Editing, Stunt Design, Score, and Sound. On the television side, Netflix’s “Adolescence” leads with six nominations, including Best Limited Series.
As E! News reports, leading into the ceremony, Live From E!: Critics’ Choice Awards will air from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. ET, hosted by Justin Sylvester and Keltie Knight, with Will Marfuggi and Erin Lim Rhodes.
Erin will also host CreatorCam beginning at 6:15 p.m. ET, offering behind-the-scenes red-carpet access across multiple social platforms.
Following the ceremony, Live RE!CAP: Critics’ Choice will air from 10:00 to 10:30 p.m. ET on E! and digital platforms.
The awards show will also be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
