*A former bodyguard for Sean “Diddy” Combs is speaking out about his ex-boss, claiming he allegedly paid $2 million to keep Combs ex-girlfriend Gina Huynh from testifying in his federal sex trafficking case.
Widely believed to be “Victim-3” in the federal indictment against Combs, Huynh has not been confirmed as a witness in the trial despite being subpoenaed, AllHipHop noted. Although her role in the case has been acknowledged by prosecutors, her appearance in court remains uncertain.
“This is the one who disappeared,” Gene Deal, who described Huynh as a “hostile witness,” said during an appearance on “The Art of Dialogue. “But she did talk to the federal government. They do have emails and everything from her and her lawyer. So she had to be somewhat involved in that.”
Regarding efforts to get Huynh into court, Deal acknowledged that prosecutors are struggling because she has been “paid off.”
“They want the prosecution to hurry up to bring Gina in so Gina could paint the picture that like everything was consenting because she’s been paid off,” he said. According to Deal, who worked closely with Combs during the height of his Bad Boy Records era, Huynh accepted a multimillion-dollar payout and other perks to stay quiet.
“She took the $2 million payment from Diddy,” he added. “I think Diddy may have gave her 2 million or something like that. Got her in school, gave an apartment out in LA. Still was messing with him. Come on, man. Brainwashed.”
Deal’s comments come as the federal trial against Combs continues, with prosecutors weighing their next steps after CNN reported earlier this month that the embattled mogul’s attorney Marc Agnifilo told the court Huynh “is out of the case. Gina is not coming.”
Agniflio’s comment was countered by Assistant U.S. Attorney Christy Slavik, who stated Huynh was “very much a part of this case.”
“The government can call Gina if it wants to,” Agnifilo said. “It might be difficult. It might be hard to do. They are the United States of America. They can get Gina into this courtroom if that is what they want to do.”
Combs’ trial continues to be a top story in the news amid the ups and downs surrounding the proceedings. Those who have testified include the “It’s All About the Benjamins” entertainer’s former girlfriend Cassie Ventura as well as Diddy – Dirty Money member Dawn Richard and rapper Kid Cudi, among others.
