*Claressa Shields and Papoose recently found themselves at the center of renewed attention after the boxing champ shared a video on Instagram that many viewers interpreted as an engagement reveal.
In the clip, Shields showed off a large diamond ring and announced, “You see this big ol’ ring on my finger. Bling bling bling. Engaged.” Fans assumed it confirmed a major milestone in her personal life. Meanwhile, Papoose remains legally married to rapper Remy Ma. As we reported earlier, the marriage reportedly began to unravel in late 2024 following accusations from Remy that Papoose had been unfaithful with Shields.
As The Root reports, during a recent appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” Papoose addressed speculation surrounding his marriage and the cheating allegations. Responding to claims circulating online, he said, “Y’all was there every step of the way. Y’all was there when I was riding up there to the prison. Y’all seen me fighting court officers, getting thrown out of the courtroom. It was in the newspapers. Y’all seen everything. How can I come to y’all and say something didn’t happen? Y’all got to stop, man. Like, come on.”
When cohost DJ Envy expressed hope that Papoose and Remy could maintain a healthy friendship for the sake of their children, Shields stepped in, saying, “That takes time. It’s a divorce. It’s not something that just happens overnight,” she said. “People life don’t stop because of that. It’s papers. It’s time. It’s all this stuff that got to happen. But at the end of the day, we move forward with our lives.”

Social media users were quick to share their opinions. “Clarissa Shields is too comfy discussing a marriage in which she had no involvement, and her delusion won’t allow her to feel embarrassment. Papoose is equally at fault for failing to establish boundaries,” one person on X/Twitter wrote. Another added, “Respectfully Clarissa mind your business.”
