*Chris Tucker says marriage is the only thing that will end his three-year stretch of celibacy. The comedian shared the news during a stand-up set in Las Vegas, TMZ reports.
Tucker took the stage Friday at The Wynn, where the venue required guests to seal their phones away before the show started. Audience members told TMZ that Tucker grew candid about his relationship status partway through the set.
“I’m celibate. I’ve been celibate for 3 years, but I’m really trying to get married. I give it to the love this time,” Tucker said. “I’m serious. No one believes me.”
Tucker said his niece remains unconvinced, despite her own belief in extraterrestrial life. “She believes in aliens, but she don’t believe I did that,” he joked.

He also recalled how women reacted when they learned he wasn’t intimate with anyone. Tucker described one exchange: “She said, ‘How much? How much … how much is it?’ I’m not selling it. I’m celibate! What is wrong with you people?”
Tucker’s comments arrive while he reportedly negotiates his return to the “Rush Hour” franchise. The first film hit theaters in 1998, and two sequels followed through 2007, combining for nearly a billion dollars at the box office.
Brett Ratner directed all three films before Warner Bros. distanced itself from him. Several women accused Ratner of sexual misconduct, allegations he has denied, and he was never charged.
Semafor reports that President Trump is a huge fan of the “Rush Hour” films and has quietly pushed for a fourth installment.
