*Charles Dion McDowell went viral in 2018 after he was arrested on drug charges and his mug shot appeared online, showing his unusually enormous neck.
At the time, Florida police reportedly arrested McDowell for fleeing while possessing drugs. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office posted his mugshot on the department’s Facebook page McDowell quickly became the subject of mockery while simultaneously gaining one million followers on Instagram.
One user joked at the time, “He’s up to his neck in charges.” Another Facebook user cracked, “His neck is still at LARGE!!!”
“Somebody notify his Necks to Kin!” added another Facebook user.

During the 2018 arrest, McDowell faced charges of “possession of methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana with intent to sell/manufacture/deliver, possession of controlled substance without a prescription and possession of drug equipment,” per MadameNoire citing the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
In 2019, McDowell was arrested for marijuana possession, driving with a revoked license, reckless driving, improper lane usage, and eluding police, WVSN reported.
Welp, McDowell has landed behind bars again after being arrested and charged with stalking and threatening a woman, and withholding support for a child or spouse, according to the Escambia County Jail website.
The National Desk reports that an arrest warrant was issued in August for McDowell but he wasn’t arrested until Nov. 27. He is being held without bond, according to the report.
McDowell is capitalizing on his Internet fame when he’s not having run-ins with the law. He collaborated with a man known as Daddy Long Neck on a song released in 2020 called “Neckst Big Thing.” The video has nearly six million views on YouTube.
McDowell recently uploaded a vlog titled “A day with WideNeck400.”
