The 53-year-old administrator, Dr. Keiva Lark was charged with lewd/lascivious conduct and lewd offense against a student by an authority figure, Atlanta News First reports, perthe Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation into the situation, which started April 4, comes after the head principal of Lake Marion Creek Middle School reported the incident to police. According to deputies, the case centers on a 13-year-old student who was sent to Lark’s office for throwing balls of paper across a classroom during a test.
Two witnesses and the student stated Lark told the student to rub her feet “since he didn’t have anything better to do with his hands” while in the office. From there, Lark allegedly took off her shoes and placed her legs across the boy’s lap, and he did as he was told.
Witnesses then heard Lark scolding the boy for not rubbing her feet “correctly.” She then demonstrated on the boy’s arm and shoulder how she wanted to be massaged.
Providing more details, a co-worker revealed they heard Lark tell the victim to “rub her feet like he loved her.” The witness went on to say that Lark told the student that she was doing this so that he would “know what foreplay is for when he gets a girlfriend.”
Several days later, the incident took its toll on Lark, who a co-worker said admitted she “crossed the line.”
Speaking with authorities, the student mentioned inappropriate comments made by Lark, who he said previously referred to him as “Sexy Chocolate” while passing him in the hallway at the school.
Lark countered the student in her version of what happened, telling detectives it was “only a joke” and that she was trying to “humble” the student.

Weighing in on the case, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said in a statement that, “It’s completely inappropriate for a 53-year-old woman to act and talk like this to a middle school boy. It’s even worse given that this was an assistant principal and her student.”
The sheriff said that although Lark later admitted her actions were inappropriate, she denied saying anything inappropriate to the student.
Lark was placed on administrative leave, pending the investigation, ANF reports.
The assistant principal’s actions triggered a strong reaction from Polk County Public Schools Superintendent Frederick Heid. In his eyes, Lark has “no business” being around children anymore.
“This is abhorrent behavior for anyone who works among students, especially an administrator. This person no longer has any business being around children,” Heid said in his own statement. “We commend the school principal for immediately reporting this incident, so we could take action and work with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office to protect students.”
