*Aries Spears is known for killer impressions and funny jokes, but it was a serious vibe he displayed when he reunited with his fellow “MADtv” alums Bobby Lee, Debra Wilson and Mo Collins.
The quartet reassembled on May 1 to reminisce over their time on the classic hit series during a recent episode of Lee’s TigerBelly podcast.
It was there that things shifted, after Wilson stressed, she’s “happier than a motherf**ker in a mansion.”
“I want to be the motherf**ker with the mansion,” Spears retorts, admitting that certain material achievements are important to him. The funnyman then compared himself to others, like Kevin Hart.
Although Wilson attempted to convince Spears to stop comparing himself to others, the “Jerry Maguire” star found himself back on the topic when Tigerbelly co-host Khalyla Kuhn questioned if Spears would be truly happy if he magically possessed the material achievements he craves.
“I would be happy if I got that, plus the things that really matter,” Spears explained as he confessed to being a less than stellar parent. “I’m not a good father to my kids. I want to tighten up my relationships with my sons.”
“Do that, and maybe the mansion will follow,” Collins’ interjected, causing Lee to burst out in laughter.
As the reunion continued, Spears dived further into his personal shortcomings, adding infidelity to his revelations.
“And as much as I love the woman I want to marry for the third time, I cheat. I f**k other women,” he admitted, adding that he still desires that “exterior sh*t” that he’s always dreamed of and also wants to be a better man.

When asked by Collins which one is in his control, Spears went optimistic, answering, “why not both?”
Wilson attempted to shift Spears’ focus, telling Spears that he is “bankrupt” for pining over material things while his family life is in disarray.
“You’re never gonna be rich out there, you know why? Because you’re bankrupt. You’re bankrupt, Aries,” she pointed out. “Aries, you’re bankrupt on the inside. But my thing is this: you don’t have to be. I know you. You’re a good man. If you want to be a good father, continue to be a good man. I know you, Aries, so don’t f**k with me.”
“Don’t go for the outside sh*t, it won’t make you happy,” she added, “You can be a good father right now. You can be a good man to your wife right now.”
Created by David Salzman, Fax Bahr, and Adam Small and loosely based on the humor magazine “Mad,” “MADtv” ran for 14 seasons after premiering October 14, 1995. In addition to Spears, Wilson, Collins and Lee, the long-running sketch comedy series introduced a slew of comedy greats, including Orlando Jones, Nicole Sullivan, Phil LaMarr, Artie Lange, Alex Borstein, Will Sasso, Jordan Peele, Kegan Michael Key, Michael McDonald, Taran Killam and Simon Helberg, among others.
