*Alix Lapri, known for her role as Effie Morales in “Power Book II: Ghost,” was arrested on August 18 in DeKalb County, Georgia, prompting widespread discussion among fans of the Starz series.
Official reports indicate the actress, born Alexus Lapri Geier, faces charges of cruelty to children in the third degree and disorderly conduct. She was released the following day, per Ice Cream Convos. Under Georgia law, cruelty to children in the third degree occurs when the primary aggressor intentionally allows a child under 18 to witness a forcible felony, battery, or family violence battery, or commits such acts in the presence of a child. These charges suggest a child was exposed to an alleged violent incident, though they do not necessarily indicate direct harm to a child.
The arrest gained traction online after The Shade Room posted Lapri’s mugshot, fueling social media conversations. Adding to the buzz, Lapri’s co-star Gianni Paolo commented that her mugshot was “fine asf”.
In the post comments, one person wrote, “Charged with Cruelty to Children in the Third Degree ?, no mugshot is “fine” enough to overlook that…” Another added, “Girl think she still in character”.
A third person commented, “From the look of that picture whatever they said she did… she did that ?”.
