*It sounds like a far-out episode of “What If…?” but one X user has triggered talk and jokes with his suggestion to Marvel Studios for who should assume the mantle of Black Panther.

For the follower, only one man is worthy. Drumroll please…. former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin.

“Marvel should cast Michael Irvin as Black Panther,” @TheMSeries posted.

Yes, it may be hard to picture. Physically, Irvin could pass the test. After all he is a Hall of Famer. And he does have acting experience on the big screen (Adam Sandler’s “The Longest Yard” and “Jill & Jill,” faith-based drama “Slamma Jamma”) and the small reality TV screen (Spike TV’s “4th and Long”).

But still…imagining Irvin as Black Panther was too good for Black Twitter to pass up. Social media followers lit up the platform with funny clips of the sports legend being his unique self, mixed with different situations featuring the super-powered Wakandan protector Cassius Life reports.

“We need more. Want more,” an X user wrote, captioning his Irvin-featured video, “When the Vibranium in Wakanda starts running low.”

Using a clip of Irvin’s interview on Ryan Clark’s Emmy-nominated podcast “The Pivot,” a second user humorously pointed out that his CTE was acting up.

“The moment the strength of the black panther gets stlllrippped aweh,” the user put in his caption.

Black Panther’s iconic status in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was a prime target for another user, who displayed Irvin’s personal superpower when giving one of his pep talks, as he thought in his caption that, “Thanos would’ve been cooked in 5 minutes if the Avengers heard this.”

Now that we got you thinking, here are a few more thoughts on Michael Irvin’s potential as Black Panther, per Cassius Life:
