*One thing I love about the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz Limited AWD is its size and function. It’s the perfect pick up truck for work, play and city. Hyundai of course calls it a sports adventure vehicle, the first of its kind. Let’s get into it.
The Look: One of my gym girlies saw the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz Limited AWD from the window as we were pumping iron and said, “What car is that? I like it. I want it.” Yeah, it’s cute, especially for the ladies that love a good tough vehicle, with yummy street appeal.
It’s got a rugged look with some sophisticated curves and elements like the distinctive LED daytime lights. I appreciate the curves all around, creating its distinguished look, complemented with muscular elements like the dark chrome grille and angular design features on the doors.
I love the functionality of the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz Limited AWD as well. Anytime I drive a truck or something other than a sedan, I think, “how is this going to work on my farm?”
The Santa Cruz has all the thoughtful touches like a strap to pull the bed-cover without climbing into the truck bed. Like many pick ups, the backseat doesn’t include a whole lot of legroom, but gets the job done.
Tech: Inside, drivers will find that extended panoramic curved display of dual 12.3-inch screens, making it easy to control both the driving experience and atmosphere throughout the cabin. Featuring a wireless connection to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, this standard feature works like a charm and is certainly a 2025 must have. Plus, the layflat charging station does all the work you need to ensure your phone is juiced up and ready to go.
As far as safety is concerned, drivers will be pleased to find that many of the best features like Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind Spot Collision Warning and others come standard. I found these features to be at the right level of sensitivity, for the most part. I still take issue with that cross-traffic collision-avoidance, which seemed to activate when it wasn’t appropriate, preventing a driver controlled experience. It felt helicopter mom-like.
The Drive & Feel: As far as the drive is concerned, I loved the smooth experience. From New York’s potholes and wild drivers, the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz Limited AWD does what it needs to do to make driving pleasant. Speed and drive efficiency is not a problem with the 2.5L turbocharged engine and a few different drive modes including sport and snow. The heated and ventilated seats are cozy, comfy with leather and body hugging design. I definitely enjoyed sitting in this one for long periods and long distances.
Overall, I had fun driving the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz Limited AWD. It’s fun, cute, zippy and functional.
