*Thomas “Nephew Tommy” Miles returns as host of the new “Ready to Love” season, which returns on Friday, January 12 on OWN.
This season finds 20 eligible singles exploring romantic connections in Fort Worth, Texas. Per the press release, the dating series explores the real-life romantic rollercoasters of successful Black men and women in their 30s and 40s as they search for authentic relationships.
Each week, the series follows along as couples start budding romances with the hopes of turning those into lasting loves, all while navigating a variety of twists and challenges thrown out by Miles.
“While some connections might be forming right now, you never know what might be coming around the corner next,” Miles says in a voiceover in the trailer. “It’s about to get tricky up in here.”

Last year, “Ready to Love” was the #1 cable series in its time slot with key African American female demos on Friday nights.
“It’s rare for a long-running series to continue growing its audience, but that’s exactly what ‘Ready to Love’ is doing,” executive producer Will Packer said previously about the series. “We keep the show fresh, exciting and real by bringing together the right mix of singles who are committed to finding love, and this season our Miami hopefuls get down to business right out of the gate.
