‘Martin’ Cast Reunite at 75th Emmy Awards | Watch

*Martin Lawrence reunited with his “Martin” co-stars during the Emmys’ 75th anniversary on Monday.

Lawrence was joined on stage by Tisha Campbell, Carl Anthony Payne II, and Tichina Arnold to present the award for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, which Jeremy Allen White won for his role on “The Bear.”

The “Martin” sitcom was one of the highest-rated shows during its run on Fox from 1992 to 1997. In the series, Campbell played Martin’s girlfriend, and Arnold played her best friend, Pam. Payne played Martin’s bestie, Cole. Co-star Thomas Mikal Ford, who played Tommy, passed away in 2016.

During their appearance at the Emmys, Payne was ready to deliver an acceptance speech after believing the cast had won their very first Emmy, but his co-stars had to remind him to take a chill pill.

“You better believe it, baby. We finally about to get an Emmy!” Payne joked as he began to whip out his acceptance speech.

“Carl, we’re not winning an Emmy tonight. Please, sit your butt down,” Campbell said.

“We should have won an Emmy during our run,” Campbell added. “But we were never even nominated, despite our 132 episodes, just our huge ratings and being in syndicated so much that it’s a little hard for me to see the ’90s Spanx-less version of myself every night.”

In 2021, Campbell and Arnold shot down any hope of a “Martin” reboot series.

When the pair appeared on the “Tamron Hall Show,” the longtime friends clarified that the beloved comedy probably wouldn’t return to the small screen following Ford’s passing.

“It’s something that we wanted to happen,” Arnold said. “It’s something that we tried very hard for it to happen, but the way it looks to me, realistically, it’s not going to happen. Not unless it’s an animation.”

She added, “A show can never be a reboot without the original cast.”

Previously, it was reported that Lawrence quit his show due to the sexual harassment lawsuit that Campbell hit him with back in the day.

The 1997 lawsuit detailed the alleged “obsessive” physical and emotional abuse she endured at the hands of Martin, including “repeated and escalating sexual harassment, sexual battery and violent threats.”

Lawrence denied the allegations, and he and Campbell ultimately resolved the legal issue and squashed their beef.
