Marlo Hampton is Exiting ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’

*Marlo Hampton has confirmed that she won’t be part of Season 16 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Having made her debut in Season 4 and becoming a full-time cast member in Season 14, Hampton explained her departure in a statement.

“My contract with Real Housewives of Atlanta concluded at the end of Season 15,” her statement outlined. “Taking this break from RHOA marks a new chapter for me, providing space to explore fresh creative ventures focused on my future rather than dwelling on the past.”

Hampton emphasized her familial responsibilities as another factor behind her decision, stating, “My nephews are entering critical stages of their educational journey, and I am committed to being a positive influence in their lives, while also showcasing my diverse interests in philanthropy, fashion, and lifestyle.”

Expressing appreciation for the platform RHOA provided, Hampton acknowledged its role in spotlighting her work in foster care advocacy, her non-profit organization Glam It Up, Inc., and her fashion showroom, Le Archive.

“I anticipate maintaining my relationship with Bravo and NBC Universal. I extend my best wishes to Truly Original and the RHOA cast,” she concluded.

Hampton isn’t the sole “RHOA” member to announce their Season 16 status before the show’s return.

Kandi Burruss, a fixture since Season 2, disclosed her departure to Variety during the 66th Grammy Awards on Feb. 4, after almost 15 years on the show.

“I’ve made the decision not to return this year,” she stated during the interview, highlighting the prolonged decision-making process despite Season 15 airing in May 2023. Burruss added, “During that time, I began working on several other projects, and I have some exciting endeavors in the pipeline.”

Addressing potential future involvement with the show at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards, Burruss remained open but focused on her current pursuits. “I hold a great deal of affection for my Bravo family… never say never, but at present, I’m deeply invested in other ventures,” she remarked.
