Lopes was killed in a car crash in Honduras in 2002, and the remaining TLC members continued as a duo after her death. The four-time Grammy winner’s most recent release was the self-titled “TLC” in 2017.

During the iHeartRadio Music Awards, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins accepted the Landmark Award.

“We’re forever TLC, no matter what,” Thomas previously told PEOPLE. “We worked really hard building this brand together.”

Lifetime released a documentary about the group last year titled “TLC Forever.” The documentary chronicled their journey as the top-selling American female group of all time.

Directed by Matthew Kay, the feature documentary highlights the revolutionary group that broke boundaries, influenced an entire generation, and survived against all odds as T-Boz and Chilli tell their story for the first time in the project.

TLC was formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1990 and has sold over 85 million records worldwide. The group enjoyed nine top-ten hits and won over 35 major awards, including the Video of the Year Award for “Waterfalls” Billboard Hot 100, including four number-one singles, “Creep,” “Waterfalls,” “No Scrubs,” and “Unpretty.” Accolades include nine top-ten hits, four career Grammy® Awards, five MTV Video Music Awards, and five Soul Train Music Awards.
