*Esteemed broadcast journalist and acclaimed author Esther Dillard has been honored with the prestigious 2024 Gracie Award by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF). This significant recognition marks a notable achievement in Esther’s distinguished career spanning nearly 15 years in the media industry.

The feature Esther won for was the direct inspiration for the book “Raising An Autistic Young Adult,” authored by Esther Dillard herself. Some of what was shared in that four-part series was included in the book. The book expanded on those conversations.

Founded in 1951, the Alliance for Women in Media (AWM) is dedicated to advancing women in media through networking, education, and celebrating achievements.

The annual Gracie Awards, now in its 49th year, were established to honor individuals and content that embody the roles, stories, and priorities of women. Ceremonies for this year’s Gracie Awards are scheduled for May 21 at the Beverly Wilshire (A Four Seasons Hotel) and June 18 at Cipriani 42nd Street.

Esther Dillard’s recent accolade solidifies her status as an esteemed figure among accomplished women in the media industry. Her heartfelt dedication to shedding light on crucial issues has not only inspired a groundbreaking book but also fostered meaningful connections within her professional community.
