*Cedric The Entertainer is clapping back after Katt Williams accused him of stealing jokes.
When Cedric appeared on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast in 2022, he denied stealing one of Williams’ jokes. When Katt recently appeared on the Club Shay Shay podcast, he responded to Cedric.
“He thought that I was just a no-name comedian and that he could take this joke and nobody would know,” Williams said. “The issue was that I had already done this particular joke on BET’s ComicView twice. It had done so well on BET’s ComicView that they made it part of the commercial.”
Williams continued, “This is not just a random joke, this is my best joke and it’s my last joke and it’s my closing joke. 1998, I’m doing this joke; Cedric comes to The Comedy Store. He watches me in the audience; he comes backstage; he tells me what a great job I did and how much he loves the joke. Two years later, he’s doing that as his last joke on The [Original] Kings of Comedy and he’s doing it verbatim, he just changed my car into a spaceship.”
Cedric wasted no time responding, calling Williams’ version “Revisionist History.”

Cedrick added, “… regardless of whatever Katts opinion My career can’t be reduced to One Joke Katt Williams claims as his,” the actor posted in comment section of the Club Shay Shay Instagram account.
In a follow-up comment, Cedric seemingly addressed Williams claiming, “I would’ve bust Cedric’s stomach.”
“And all that tough talk! Is corny af I’m grown ass man. And none of that sh*t gonna go like you think. You do you and I got this over here,” Ced commented.
As The Jasmine Brand reports, Cedric The Entertainer previously stated: “That joke is over 30 years old, close to 30 something years old. I did The [Original] Kings of Comedy in 1999, probably had been doing that joke six-seven years before that. I don’t even know if Katt was doing comedy then…So again, he a talented brother. I have no idea what he talking about. I’ve never seen Katt do a space shuttle joke.”
