*Young Dolph’s life partner, Mia Jaye, is sharing her frustrations online regarding the investigation into the rapper’s killing.

Dolph, born Adolph Robert Thornton Jr., was killed on Nov. 17, 2021, while shopping at Makeda’s Butter Cookies in Memphis. He was pronounced dead at the scene at age 36.

We previously reported that Maurice Hill, the shop owner, told FOX13 that Dolph walked into the store to buy cookies when a vehicle drove up and fired at the bakery. The gunmen were caught on camera driving up to the store and firing shots at the father of two. The Memphis Police Department shared photos from security footage outside the bakery, showing two armed men with their faces partially covered, exiting a white Mercedes-Benz.

“The suspects approached the victim while he was inside the business and shot the victim several times,” Memphis Police shared in a statement posted to Twitter at the time. “The suspects then fled the scene.”

Hernandez Govan, Justin Johnson, Cornelius Smith, and Jarmarcus Johnson were ultimately arrested and charged in connection to Dolph’s murder. On October 27, 2023, Judge Lee Coffee was ordered to recuse himself from the trials of suspects, FOX13 reports.

“Recently, the news have stated that the judge has been removed and when you heard it I did too. As movement in the case is being made, our family is not being properly informed and our patience is running thin,” Mia Jaye said in a recent Instagram post, according to FOX13.

“Over the last 2 years I have deliberately not spoken on the case to give the justice department full range to properly do their job especially since there was so much noise and misinformation being spread all over the Internet. But I feel like my silence has been taken for granted,” Jaye continued.

The judge was called on to recuse himself from the trials after Justin Johnson, also known as Straight Drop, released a song while in jail. According to Fox 13, a court of appeals said, “The fact, coupled with the lack of notice and an opportunity to be heard, creates an appearance of impartiality against (Johnson) such that calls into question the integrity of the judicial process and, thus, requires recusal.”

The cases of the accused killers have been assigned to a new judge.

“Let me be very clear, Adolph was one of the most beautiful & pure human beings I have ever met and me nor his entire family will et up on ensuring Dolph get’s the FULL justice he DESERVES,” Jaye said in her post.
