“I thought, ‘This is a skit,’ ” she said of the moment when Will Smith smacked Chris Rock on stage after the comedian cracked a joke about Jada’s bald head, People reports. “I was like, ‘There’s no way that Will hit him. It wasn’t until Will started to walk back to his chair that I even realized it wasn’t a skit.”
When they were alone after the show, she asked Will, “Are you okay? ”
The actress also recalled the moment on Friday, when she appeared on the “Today” show.
“First of all, I’m really shocked because, mind you, I’m not there — we haven’t called each other husband and wife in a long time,” she stated, Urban Hollywood 411 reports. “I’m like, ‘What is going on right now?’”

During the recent press run for the new book, the actress revealed she and Will have been separated since 2016, but have no plans to divorce. Jada shared in a new interview with Parade that she and Smith decided not to sign a prenup when they wed in 1997 because they never saw divorce as an option.
Prior to tying the knot, the Smiths told each other, “‘No matter what, we’re going to figure it out and that’s why we don’t need a prenup, because I’m making a promise that divorce won’t be necessary, that we will figure this out.’”
According to Page Six, Jada has a net worth of $50 million, while Smith is worth $350 million.
“I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce,” Pinkett Smith told “Today” co-anchor Hoda Kotb in a recent NBC interview. “We will work through whatever. And I just haven’t been able to break that promise.”
