*Usher will be releasing his new album Coming Home at the top of the new year and the announcement follows confirmation that the R&B crooner will be headlining the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

“Coming Home” is Usher’s ninth studio LP and will drop on Feb. 11, 2024. His official Apple Music page revealed only one track so far is his single, “Good Good,” which features Summer Walker and 21 Savage.

“[This album] is a love letter to the legacy of my career. I’ve been coming home in a lot of different ways,” said Usher during an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Uproxx reports.

“The choice of music. Reconnection to some of the people that I’ve worked with from my past and people who I’ve always wanted to work with… In a sense, I’m coming home because I am in that comfortable space,” he continued.

Usher shared the album artwork to X (formerly Twitter), which features the singer shirtless, holding a peach and wearing a cross necklace.

“We’ve put a lot of thought and creativity into this new album to tell a story that is open to interpretation and that will connect with people in different ways,” Usher said in a press release. “I know this has been a long time coming for my fans and what I’ll say is that all good things come to those who wait. I hope you enjoy it once you hear it.”

Meanwhile, his Las Vegas residency will wrap in December after a successful two-year run.

Usher previously performed with the Black Eyed Peas at the Super Bowl in 2011. However, next year will be his first time playing as the headlining artist.

“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before,” Usher said in a statement on Sunday.

“Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen,” he continued. “I’ll see you real soon.”
