*Rumors continue to swirl around Jamie Foxx‘s prognosis after he experienced a “medical complication” on April 11, 2023. Since then, many have birthed conspiracy theories online, namely that Foxx’s health issue stems from taking the COVID-19 vaccination. Meanwhile, reality television host Dr. Drew spoke with former New York Daily News gossip columnist A.J. Benza who spouted unsubstantiated claims that the Oscar winner is blind and paralyzed due to a blood clot in his brain because he took the COVID-19 vaccine, according to The Root.
“Jamie had a blood clot in his brain after he got the shot. He did not want the shot, but the movie he was on, he was pressured to get it. The blood clot in the brain caused him at that point to be partially paralyzed and blind,” said Benza to Dr. Drew.
With only a few updates from his daughter Corrine Foxx, most of the pertinent details of his illness are being kept confidential. Yet, speculation on the actor’s condition is running wild, although Newsweek and Snopes have found the claims unfounded. Still, many people continue to circulate misinformation, like Hercules: The Legendary Journeys actor Kevin Sorbo who posted an article about Foxx’s supposed paralysis and blindness. “Praying for Jamie Foxx.” He added: “I can’t imagine how many Americans are dealing with similar problems and the [mainstream media] hardly bats an eye.”
Conservative podcast host Charlie Kirk also chimed in saying, “Those of us who spoke against the mRNA shot were attacked in every imaginable way. I am infuriated a decent person like Jamie Foxx fell victim to Big Pharma because a movie set is still dumb enough to mandate their cash cow clot shot,” he posted to his 2.2 million followers and it has been viewed 6 million times.

 “Sad as hell what happened to Jamie Foxx…” conservative comedy duo the Hodge Twins added to the allegations. “Hollywood made him get the Covid shot and it gave him a blood clot, leaving him paralyzed and blind,” they posted on Twitter, viewed 3 million times.
According to reputable reports, there are “no correlation between the COVID-19 vaccine and the risk of stroke. In fact, the vaccine could actually help protect you against strokes since research has shown that incidents of strokes are higher among people infected with COVID-19,” reports The Root.
Political analyst Jamison Daniel chastised Sorbo for fearmongering, “A rumor? That’s it? This is why people keep medical records private…creepy former famous people abuse the trust,” Daniel said.

 Another Twitter @MercedezUAZ tried to bring a dose of reasoning to the online conjecture, “Jamie Foxx’s daughter said that he is fine,” the user wrote, “Some strange white man came out of nowhere and said that he’s blind, crippled and crazy because he got vaccinated and ya’ll just running with it.”
