*Tim Norman, former star of “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s,” was sentenced Thursday to life in prison for his murder-for-hire plot against his nephew.

We reported earlier that a federal jury in St. Louis found Norman guilty of arranging the shooting death of his 21-year-old nephew Andre Montgomery in an attempt to receive a payout on life insurance policies that he allegedly took out on the victim. Norman was found guilty in September for the 2016 slaying.

He was charged with conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, murder-for-hire, and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Montgomery also was featured on the reality show “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s,” about a St. Louis-based soul-food business founded by Robbie Montgomery — Norman’s mother and Andre’s grandmother. The series ran on the Oprah Winfrey Network for nine seasons.

In January, one of Norman’s co-conspirators in the murder-for-hire plot, Terrica Ellis, was sentenced to three years in prison for her role in the death of Montgomery Jr. The shooter, Travell Anthony Hill, was sentenced to 32 years in October. Waiel Rebhi, the insurance agent who allegedly helped Norman forge documents, was sentenced to 3 years behind bars.

Norman took to Instagram on Feb. 23 to thank supporters and express shock over his conviction, The Jasmine Brand reports.

“Thank you for all the prayers. I’m still in disbelief. The feds know 100% I did not do those insurance policies,” Norman’s post reads. “But the jury didn’t get to hear that. And not one person got on the stand and said that I told them to hurt my nephew. They destroyed my name and image so you guys wouldn’t search for the truth.”
