The Shade Room reports that Terrence, 41, popped the question to his 25-year-old lady love on Dec. 3. An Instagram user named Troy Millings shared a photo of the beautiful moment, and Terrance reposted it.
According to BET.com, Millings captioned the image: “Congratulations to my brother @terrencej & @mikalahstyles on their engagement,” she wrote, The Blast reports. “SOOO HAPPY FOR THEM.”

Social media users shared their reactions to the couple’s engagement. In The Shade Room’s comment section on IG, many were critical of their age gap. One user wrote, “Y’all don’t think it’s weird a 41 year old wants to marry a 25 year old? Is it just me???
Another said, “The age gap would be concerning to me if I had a 25 year old daughter being pursued by a 41 year old man. I wonder if her parents approve, especially her father, and if her parents are the same age as Terence. Maybe they have a large age gap, and they approve. It just feels gross to me when couples have large age gaps.”
A third added, “Men brains don’t fully develop until like 43 to 45. So some be mentally immature. Also they look for fertility if they want kids. And look for these young chicks to pop kids out.”
