Tasha K Uses ‘Light-Skinned’ Defense for Disbelief in Ashanti Pregnancy

*Tasha K is raising eyebrows yet again as she continues to keep Ashanti on her discussion radar.

Tasha K is not buying the fact that Ashanti and Nelly are expecting a child. Her reason is simple. Ashanti is a “light-skinned, privileged woman” who should not be a “baby mama.”

“She’s not pregnant. She’s not pregnant,” the “Unwine With Tasha K” founder and host claimed, adding that the timing for Ashanti’s pregnancy is off because of Nelly’s current status as a grandfather. “She ain’t pregnant ‘cuz he just had a baby… Let’s get to know that other baby first. Light-skin, privileged women deserve to be wives and not just baby mamas! I said what I said!”

Tasha K’s current view on Ashanti comes after Nelly and the “Rock With You” singer teased fans at his annual “Black and White Ball” in St. Louis. It was there the couple rubbed Ashanti’s belly, playfully giving the impression that she is pregnant with her first child, Rolling Out noted. The site went on to speculate that if there was truth to the belly rub, it would spell a third time for Nelly in the father role.

Tasha K’s colorism stance comes after she touched on the same issue when mentioning Ashanti having no children and ring at this time in her life.

“How are you light-skinned? How are you absolutely gorgeous? Nobody’s out here putting babies in you… I don’t want to see a motherf—– spin the block on you,” the social media fixture expressed in November while pointing out that Ashanti is a gorgeous woman over 40.

As passionate as her argument may be, Tasha K may be in the minority regarding Ashanti’s possible bun in the oven. Folks reacting to the YouTube fixture’s recent post were not shy with questioning her intent to link Ashanti’s skin color with anything to do with having a baby.

“What do skin complexions have to do with being a baby momma?” one person said in the comments sections of Tasha K’s post. “You shouldn’t put no skin complexions above the other. You have some self-esteem issues going on. No woman shouldn’t be a baby momma. What do the color of your skin complexions have to do with anything?”
