As Billboard reports, “Expend4bles” marks 50 Cent’s first major film role since he starred in “Escape Plan: The Extractors” in 2019.

“One of the unwritten laws of power is to appear not to need anything,” Fiddy said about his Hollywood career in a new interview with Vulture

The rapper/actor/entrepreneur said he learned how to make $10 million per movie after a meeting with movie producer Avi Lerner.

Lerner was apparently more than willing to share his knowledge and expertise about filmmaking because 50 Cent was “in a financial place that I didn’t need one thing from him,” he said.

“Because I was interested in what he had developed as a business, he was excited by my interest,” 50 told Vulture. “He offered probably more than the average person.”

The artist said Lerner “helped me understand Hollywood.”

The hip-hop star used that knowledge to gain experience as a producer making low-budget movies through his production company Cheetah Vision.

“I got paid almost $10 million on each one of those films,” 50 Cent said. “So I paid myself to learn how to participate on those projects.”
