*Kenny G has reportedly been ordered to pay over $300,000 of his ex-wife’s attorney’s fees.

The legendary saxophonist–real name Kenneth Gorelick— and his second wife Lyndie Benson divorced in 2013 after 21 years of marriage. The two share adult kids.

According to The Blast, Kenny has asked the court to lower the amount of monthly support he pays his ex-wife. He is currently paying Lyndie $40,000 a month in spousal support. However, the musician claims he is unable to pay such hefty amounts due to the lack of ability to tour following the COVID pandemic.

Per The Blast, the 65-year-old entertainer says in court docs, “Since approximately 2018, even before the covid pandemic, my income has substantially declined because l have not had as many touring opportunities as l used to have. And, when there are touring opportunities, the guarantees to me from each tour are becoming less and less. Historically, when l tour, the contract guarantees me a certain income from the tour. This guarantee percentage has gradually been reduced. Moreover, l am now 65 years old. Even when presented with touring opportunities, l am less inclined to take them at this age.”

He added, “To date, l have paid Lyndie a total of $3,920,000 in spousal support alone. I have 2 also paid her $360,000 in child support which was terminated in 2015. In addition, in our divorce, Lyndie was awarded very substantial assets and funds.”

As MSN reports, in his new filing, Kenny’s lawyer noted that the artist has paid $4 million in spousal support to Lyndie over the past 9 years. But he can no longer keep up with the payments due to a decline in income.

His lawyer claims, “Kenny is a Grammy award-winning saxophonist with a long successful career and more than 15 albums. However, as explained in the accompanying declaration of Kenny, for the last 2-3 years Kenny’s touring opportunities, where he earns the most income, have not only declined but his percentage of earnings from the tours have also declined.”

The attorney said, “Kenny’s income has substantially declined steadily since 2018.”

Kenny’s attorney previously told the court, “Lyndie is 57 years old, and, as far as Kenny knows, in good health” but she allegedly has refused to get a job for 10 years.

Kenny reportedly had a net worth of $50 million at the time of the divorce.
