*K. Michelle spoke about her music career in a new interview with the R&B Money podcast, including her beef with Nicki Minaj for allegedly stealing one of her songs.
According to the songstress, the rapper stole her single “Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart?” — K. Michelle’s unreleased love song with Nicki’s ex-boyfriend Meek Mill, Madame Noire reports.
“Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart?” was on a Meek Mill album, and Nicki Minaj’s mean ass took it from me,” K. Michelle said. “Atlantic Records put me in with Meek Mill because he needed to get some good love songs.”
K. Michelle tried to repurpose the song when Mill cut it from his album but Minaj allegedly blocked her efforts when she began dating him, according to Madame Noire.
“That’s when I found out they was dating. I never tried to sleep with Meek, none of that,” K. Michelle stated on the podcast. “And then they was like she wanted to take the record from me, and she said that he had to take back his chain from me. And I never did none of that. I always loved her. The record was on her album.”
As MadameNoire reports, the song’s title still belonged to Michelle so she used it on her 2014 album, “Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart?”
“You can still see the song in the trailer introducing my album,” K. Michelle added.
Elsewhere in the interview, K. Michelle said her ex Memphitz made her watch BET’s “Tiny and Toya” when he was cheating on her with series star Toya Johnson.
“I remember he made me watch Toya and Tiny show. And I sat there and watched this show, knowing that he was f*cking her. And she knew about me and everything. And this was the man holding my career, beating my ass, holding my music.”
K. Millchele also noted on the podcast that her career took off after teaming with R. Kelly back in the day.
“He was the person who kind of saved me and got my stuff going. I was working with Rob for a long time,” she added.
