*Sinclair Daniel is being dubbed the new “scream queen,” as the actress joins the cast in the fifth installment of the Blumhouse hit franchise “Insidious.”
You may have previously seen Daniel in supporting roles that include the features “One December Night” and “The Boo Hag,” and on television as a guest star on “The Good Fight,” “Bull,” and “Madam Secretary.”
According to a news release, Daniel created the role of “The Kid” in the world premiere of Duncan Sheik’s NOIR directed by Darko Tresnjak. She will next be seen starring in the upcoming series from The Onyx Collective, “The Other Black Girl” coming to Hulu this Fall.
This summer, you can catch her in “Insidious: The Red Door” franchise, which takes fans of the iconic horror series back to the beginning with the Lambert family. Check out the newly released trailer below.
In “Insidious: The Red Door,” the horror franchise’s original cast returns for the final chapter of the Lambert family’s terrifying saga. To put their demons to rest once and for all, Josh (Patrick Wilson) and a college-aged Dalton (Ty Simpkins) must go deeper into The Further than ever before, facing their family’s dark past and a host of new and more horrifying terrors that lurk behind the red door.
Wilson makes his directorial debut with the project. The film also stars Rose Byrne and Andrew Astor and Hiam Abbass.

Meanwhile, Collider reports that a sixth installment (possibly in the form of a series) is in the works called “Thread: An Insidious Tale,” from Screen Gems, Blumhouse, and Wan’s Atomic Monster.
