*Former NBA star Delonte West denied rumors that he slept with LeBron James’ mother.
“I ain’t never sleep with nobody’s momma. I slept with my son’s momma but that’s about it,” West said on the Instagram Hot New Hop Hop reports.
His response appears on the IG page of “Coach Slim,” who posted the video on August 2 with a lengthy caption.
“I Ran Into The Humble, Former NBA Star #delontewest off the late, and I got him out the way for the love I have for people with mental illness ???????????????????????????? But the one thing that I had to ask him, was; DID YOU FUCK @kingjames #mother and that’s with all do respect to you and yours #lebronjames But This Is One Of The Biggest Rumors In NBA History,” the caption states.
The caption continued, “Because Why Let A Rumor Plague A Man’s Character, When You Can Help A Man With True Talent, That Is Down Bad. I Believe This Man’s Word; Mainly Because He Lost Everything, And Still Haven’t Taken Pride In Laying With Your Mother. Word Of Advice; You Should Slap The Messenger Of Bad News. Because If You Believe In Only One Persons Word, And Never Allowed The Accused To Face The Accuser, YOU DEAD WRONG ????????????,” Slim wrote.

Since his last NBA game in 2012, West has been arrested multiple times for panhandling. Late last year, he was detained in Fairfax County, Va., for trying to break into a vehicle that didn’t belong to him.
We previously reported that the former NBA guard has battled mental health and addiction issues. In 2022, he attempted to make a comeback by training to make the Big 3. He didn’t make the out, telling TMZ…”I was excited to have the opportunity. I’ll be there next season. I’ll be there rooting guys on,” West said.
A video went viral last year showing West yelling incoherently while handcuffed and sitting on a sidewalk in Washington D.C. Over the summer he responded to a separate viral video of him panhandling on a highway in Richmond, Virginia.
“It is what it is,” West said when Image Direct caught up with him, TMZ Sports reported. “I got children. I’m in between jobs. People can help me as much as they can, but you know, as a man, I gotta do what I gotta do for my babies.”
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban helped get West into rehab in September 2020. He also orchestrated the reunion between West and his mother, according to Black Enterprise.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, in 2010, sports blogger Terez Owens published the rumor about West and LeBron James’ mother, claiming he obtained the tea from a “source.”
“My uncle is the general contractor at the Q and has been for the last seven years. He’s good friends with a lot of guys at the Q, including some of the bigger boys in the organization. And he knows Dan Gilbert personally. My uncle has been told that Delonte has been having interactions with Gloria James (LeBron’s mom) for some time now,” Owens allegedly reported.
“Somehow LeBron found out before Game Four and it destroyed their chemistry and divided the team. I am not making this up, I wish it wasn’t true but it happened,” Owens added.
