*Here we go again with another damn celebrity death hoax. This time the target is one of Tyler Perry‘s featured actressess, Cassie Davis. You know her as “Aunt Bam” from all the “Madea” movies and the “House of Payne” TV shows.

First off all, let’s point out that the 58-year-old actress, whose real/full is Cassandra Davis-Patton is most definitely ALIVE and WELL.

Unfortunately, the viral hoax claiming that Davis had died began over the weekend after a Facebook user shared a link to an article claiming that the actress had died of lung cancer, according to HITC.

As you can imagine, withy hours, the hoax was not only all over Facebook but on other platforms like TikTok and Twitter, too.

Fortunately for Cassie, who doesn’t do social media , except for Twitter every now and then, her co-star Palmer Williams Jr. on “House of Payne,” hopped on social media and proceeded to spread the counter narrative that Cassie Davis was NOT deceased and is alive and well.

Palmer added some logic to his annouincement, saying that if it was real, fans would receive an official announcement from Tyler Perr, who he referred to as “Mr. Perry.”

Speaking of Tyler Perry, he reracted to the news by the posting below on Instagram.

“After I’ve gotten several calls from people giving me their condolences and I didn’t know what they were talking about, I was sent this article that’s going around. I don’t know how she could have died and nobody told me or her. So I called her and asked her was she dead and she said hell no! Can whoever is responsible for this please stop you better be careful when you speak death over a child of God,” Perry said over a fake article where he slapped the word “FAKE” over it. “This woman is loved by millions and you’re hurting a lot of people. Cassi is fine living her best life with no worries, no cares, no social media, and no drama. She’s waiting to shoot the next season of House of Payne.”

As of this posting, Cassi Davis has not reacted to the fake reports of her passing. However, foks on social media were short on thoughts abot the incidet:
