Cardi B to Seize Tasha K’s $9k in YouTube Earnings

*Cardi B is preparing to seize 5-figures from popular YouTuber Tasha K. 

We reported previously that Tasha K lost her appeal against the “WAP” rapper and will have to fork over $4 million to Cardi in a defamation suit.

Cardi B sued Tasha K, real name Latasha Kebe, in 2019 after she claimed in a series of YouTube videos that the artist had herpes and cheated on her husband, rapper Offset. She also alleged that the mother of two was a drug-loving prostitute.

Carid took legal action, accusing Tasha K liable and defamation, invasion of privacy, and infliction of emotional distress.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper was ultimately awarded $1.25 million for general damages and $250k for medical expenses. She received an additional $1.5 million in punitive damages and another $1.3 million for her attorney fees, for $4.25 million in total.

Tasha’s attempt to appeal the decision was unsuccessful. Cardi has been trying to collect her coins since last year. She reportedly sent notices to Google — which owns YouTube — to hold all money owed to Tasha for her content on the platform, according to RadarOnline.

Last week, Cardi’s attorneys reportedly filed a writ of execution against Tasha K and her Kebe Studios LLC in Georgia. The musician can now legally collect on the judgment.

“YOU ARE HEREBY COMMANDED to immediately hold all money, including wages, and other property, except what is known to be exempt, belonging to the Defendant or obligations owed to the Defendant named above beginning on the day of service of this summons and including the next 1,095 days,” the notice read, RadarOnline reports.

According to the outlet, Google owes Tasha K $9,304.81 and Cardi wants the court to direct those funds to her.
