She details how she received five Soul Train nominations and she did not receive any recognition despite serving as the host of the 1999 show. While she is most deserving of her flowers, her loyal fan base continues to hold her down, “Monica may not get all the awards but her catalog goes crazy and the awards can’t replace the love Goonica has in the streets. Keke believes both contrasting viewpoints can co-exist because humans are walking contradictions. “While what @keke is saying is extremely valid, I think what makes Lizzo’s accusations interesting is that in a sense they cancel out a lot of the good things she’s known for. A lot of people loved her for her body positivity and uplifting songs/attitude. When she gets accused of doing things that directly negate what she’s known for, it throws the general public off.
